So I just watched the trailer to this, and like most DoW trailers, it was pretty fucking awesome.

I can't wait for this. I've actually been getting into DoW II lately, even though I don't think it's better than the first series.

AFAIK, you get to pick between the 3. I don't see why you can't have 3 Farseers or 2 Marines and an Ork.

It's a 3 player co-op thing.

DoW always has awesome trailers but the games always disappointment me hugely. DoW II was pretty awful, imho.

Yes the 3 players can choose whatever hero they want (also the same if they want)

Horde modes are epic for coop

If it turns out you can take the dreadnought this is gonna be awesome. Otherwise screw being anything other than the farseer.

DoW 2 was indeed pretty crap overall. I wasn't exactly expecting much though.

Anyone been playing this mode much? I just got the game the other day in the Steam deal, and i've been playing last Stand more than anything else. It's pretty fun.

Also, here's a nice dev walkthrough/explaination.

Edit: Got to level 15 with my Ork guy with 2 randoms. Good game . We were all looking out for each other. But then some MASSIVE tyrannids came along, along with swarms of small ones. We were no match.

Do you use the gear you earned from single player in multiplayer or do you start from scratch and use drops?

You start out with some, and then you unlock more the further you get up in level.

(that means you customize between games)

Each hero starts with a few items, and earns a new item every time they level up. It's all completely seperate from the other modes, and there's new stuff too.
