The line that says ""64 bit operating system" means that he is probably not using 32 bit....Sup wrote:
32 bit version of 7? If so that would be about rightHellHead wrote:
Why only 2.94 GB usable memory ?
Also put some OC on that 6600, I got mine to 3,1 easily without even playing around with the Volts.
Yes i'm using 64 bit. My ram is just fail maybe? idk.
everything i write is a ramble and should not be taken seriously.... seriously. ♥
That entirely depends on what version of the 6600 he has.HellHead wrote:

The latest version should be fine, but the first production batch is a no no for OC'ing.
Your RAM or your Motherboard is crapped, Tazz, need to do something about that.
I have the old 6600, cant get it past 2.8Ghz stable. Even then it would BSoD every few days if it was left onZimmer wrote:

Ouch, the E6750 I had 2 years ago did 3.8GHz.

This snipping tool is pretty handy. Used it 3 or 4 times already.

Weird, the released version seems buggier than the RC. I'm getting distortion in the sound.
It is? I never knew.Winston_Churchill wrote:

when vista came out, i could never get the sound drivers to work right. for a goddam year i struggled with them, until SP1 came out.ghettoperson wrote:

i'm happy to say, win 7 -no issues at all so far (knock on wood).
I don't know if it's this OEM version I didn't download, but so far to be honest I'm hating it. It seems much slower the the RC I had installed before, and like this sound driver issue there's bugs that weren't there before. But fuck buying it to find it's exactly the same.
Downloaded win 7 pro 64 from student webiste and Overall another dissopointing release of a OS. Some good and not so good features, But just starting to re install my stuff and idle on desktop uses 1.3GB. Tons of problems with my sound, partly my fault for not having all the cables for a 5.1 speaker set up, but xp/vista handles it fine.
None of these are the fault of Microsoft or 7 though; its the responsibility of that manufacturer to release proper drivers, which they really should have done on time for the retail release of 7
apparently my scanner won't be supported with 7 - hp scanjet c 4300. i can live with that.
Problems so far:
Driver fuckups on mouse, "unplugs" every 3 seconds...
No nvidia control panel on driver install
Jesus, I hate windows, why can't more game developers support Linux?

For some reason I'm stuck at staring windows. I left it on over night and it got to the welcome. I tried running the startup repair but it couldn't find problems.
Because nerds that sweaty aren't worth the effort of supporting.Sydney wrote:

Yeah so I reinstalled it (the OEM version, not the RC) and it seems to be working fine, all the bugs fixed. Now I just want a bunch of SSD's to make it uber.
If it doesn't say OEM in the activation key then it probably is retail.TimmmmaaaaH wrote:
So. this is what my properties screen looks like. I think I have a non RC version. A friend of mine gave me a product key and the ISO, he said he got 10 keys from some magazine subscription or something.

Updates etc all work fine.
So, do I have a retail version (or equivalent)?
