Fuck these 1/1,000,000 scare stories.
I'm 16 now, the last time I took it was several years ago (can't even remember) I think it was when I was 13. I haven't gotten the flu since. I try to stay away from medicine and doctors, even when my mom wants me too. I'm the one who decided not to get the damn shots.Hurricane2k9 wrote:
I consider myself a pretty scientifically-minded guy, but I'm never getting another flu shot again. I think I had not had one since I was like 12 years old. Then last month I got one, and a few weeks later I was coughing and sneezing like hell. Fuck that shit.
For the record I think I got the flu maybe once or twice between those six years.

No way should pregnant women take any kind of strong medicines or vaccines in their pregnancy. That's freaking retarded and it's like playing Russian Roullette with your kid.

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/influenza/AN00651Yes. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), and the World Health Organization (WHO) all recommend a flu shot for women who will be pregnant during flu season (October to mid-May). That's because if you get the flu while you're pregnant, you're more likely to have serious complications, such as pneumonia, that could put you and your baby at risk.
What's more, there's evidence that getting a flu shot during pregnancy offers your baby some protection after birth: Anti-flu antibodies that you develop after getting the shot are passed to your baby, providing him with immunity that may be protective until he's 5 or 6 months old.
This is important because young babies who catch the flu are at particular risk for serious illness, but they can't be vaccinated themselves until they're 6 months old. Learn more about flu shots for children.

Well the Norwegian government recently went out and advised everyone to take the swine flu shot, so I probably will as well.
I mean, it doesn't take a lot of effort now, does it?
(also, lol, Norway has purchased 9 million doses of this stuff, and we're only like, 4.5 million people )
probs sell it to third world countries for mad profits.Kmarion wrote:

Yep. Not getting any flu shots - not that this has any bearing on the decision, but really.
I trust most medicines. Just not the ones that the government and public health services deem "essential" to combating a potential pandemic that end up doing MORE harm than the virus they're trying to protect you against!Bradt3hleader wrote:

The only medicine I ever take is for the cuts of scratches I get. To disinfect, but I guess that's not really medicine right?
As terrible as it sounds, it's most probably true.Mekstizzle wrote:
