yet another shit thread from shit face
Opera is lightweight. It uses less RAM than any of the other mainly used browsers and the last time I tried Chrome, Opera was faster too. That plus Opera has for example introduced mouse gestures to browsers and they are just plain awesome.

I know, I use firegestures. After using Opera on my older computer I just can't browse without them.PrivateVendetta wrote:

Who cares for add-ons? Opera has everything without add-ons, so why should you make the argument that FF can do the same?PrivateVendetta wrote:

Opera started most ideas that FF copied. Either with add-ons or a new update.
let me guess which browser Zimmer's using.
so, i have to deal with ie8 @ work. (sshh, i tell users to install FF, on the sly)

In case someone doesn't want some shitty features? Don't get me wrong, I'm not a big fan of FF, and i think FF whores most of it's addons and gimmicks, but it helps users to make a browser they want, how they want.Zimmer wrote:

Yes, but I can give an proper opinion on the browsers because I've used them all, unlike most people, who just shout "FF IS ZE BEST, FF WINS, <3 FF, EVERY OTHER BROWSER SUCKS". Even when they haven't tried "every other browser".burnzz wrote:

And no, I use both browsers to browse. They are both usually open.
You're telling me IE8 is bad at work.... I have to work with IE6.
Apparently a lot of people.Zimmer wrote:

Oh god. The dumbest argument on the internet as to why FF is the best.PrivateVendetta wrote:

Then you just don't use the features. Jesus. It will still use less RAM than FF.
oh, sorry.
it's been years since i've tried opera. my favourite all time was net cruiser.

I should have asked
"Who cares for add-ons when you have everything integrated in another browser?"
Sure, Firebug is fantastic, and some addons are quite useful, but most of them are stupid and gimmicky. I also hate web developers who now only code for FF because it "supports HTML5 and some of CSS3". Ignorant cunts.
I quoted it that way for clarity. For me it's greasemonkey. Ready made scripts that customize my favorite sites like flickr, youtube, etc. I have used Opera, Chrome, and Safari bunches. But a few addons in FF keep me coming back.. . They always do.Zimmer wrote:

My most visited website is the Mozilla Firefox start page.
Top three would be Google/iGoogle, BF2s New Posts and Facebook.
