High street in my town has flooded.

There's a river that runs underneath the high street, and due to the incessant rain we've had last night and today, it burst it's banks and flooded this section of the road. Water is about 6-8 inches deep, and it's flooded the pub, chinese, chipper, and the Coop. Pretty mental stuff.

The street my grandparents live on is right next to a river so all the house or on the river bank. That street floods every year in spring when the snow melts. My grandparents house is the only one that does not get flooded because its the highest up from the rest.
