Am I the only one who thinks getting points towards your kit for killing with a vehicle is a MAJOR skew on the stats?  How many times have I gotten 15+ kills & capped 4 flags as a sniper, just to see that some jetwhore that happened to use a sniper kit got the high kit score for that round?  I think Dice should have created another score, one for each vehice type, & no matter what kit you use to drive/pilot, your score goes gets tallied there.  That way you could look at the leaderboard & actually compare yourself to people who used the kits, not just a bunch of vehicle mongers.

People don't agre with the OP because using vehicles is the ONLY way they can advance their kit "rating".  Personnaly, I think it's garbage.  It completely eliminates the significance of gaining badges for a kit when you don't even need to know a damn thing about it to score big.  What's worse is that there are individual medals specifically FOR the vehicles, so wtf?

Oh gee, I need my AT expert badge and I hate this kit   I know, I'll hop in a jet and carpet bomb my way to it!  Yeah, that's a real testament to someone's ability with a kit...
i really think this is an issue that needs to be changed

and like almost all vehicle whores, he is absolutely pathetic on foot
i can guaruntee you he does nothing the entire round but sit at the jet spawn point
but yet he has SIXTY THOUSAND kills with the medic kit
did he run around support his team as a medic? no

he should not have gotten those points with the kit
plain and simple, he didnt use the kit to get points, he shouldnt get credit for it
he should get it for the jet

want some good snipers to compare to? check these guys out
they actually have legit sniper kills, not with vehicles

now this guy has only 126 hours in vehicles, ONLY 126
with almost 1400 hours on foot, now thats something respectable

I agree that the nature of what your describing makes stat padders out of the average player. Thats why nobody replied to the previous post; everyones quick to harp on cheaters but I wager that most badges were gained in a ignoble manner.
As for myself I plead quilty; whenever I needed a badge for a class I would play commander and be sniper, special forces, etc and got them easily. For knife and pistol badges I played in pistol servers. I also got my aviator badge by lasting two minutes without being kicked whilst crashing, bombing and otherwise harassing my teammates without knowing how to fly.
I think the entire scoring / R.O.E. needs to be revisted.
Some ranks and badges need to be much harder to get. New badges such as ace, knife king, etc. need to be created for those wishing to play pistol servers and dominate in planes.
Its getting close for time to start talking about Battlefield 3. Ranks need to start over after a rework and redisgn of the game.

I totally agree. I'm in the top 100 for snipers and i can tell you, i don't snipe that much

It's retarded. I feel sorry at the end of a round where it says i was the best sniper when i know some other guy was really trying to snipe people

keep in mind those like myself, who have hours in vehicles, yet fav vehicle is transport. This is bc i am the sniper type, and like to hitch a ride in a humvee to my spot. I can testify (from my limited time with him) that Books_DCDF goes everywhere on foot, thus the lower vehicle times. Don't bash people who have lots of hours, because some of us just don't like to walk everywhere.
