OLED hit the market for consumer many years ago. Initially developed by Kodak for digital camera displays, if I remember correctly....

Reading up on that OLED, seems like win tbh. Can't wait for some day when they become mainstream!

Yeah, cause even now finding a HD LCD for €300 or less isn't gonna happen, so I should buy a 24" and TV tuner instead...

Analogue to digital? Not sure you can do that, usually you can only the other way around.

I'd imagine a cable for that doesn't exist.  A scaler would do what you want, expensive tho, or run it through your PC using a video capture card and d-scaler which is much cheaper.

That I can deal with, how's the software and feel of it?

Cheap and brittle, software is perfectly fine, unfortunately the keyboard itself will probably break within 5 mins of use.

(I should probably point out my apparently baseless intense hatred of the Lycosa is based on 2 friends who both have the Lycosa Mirror and it's a crock of shit, both are broken)

In a few months I'm gonna get a new monitor. Definitely needs to be 1080p HD capable, extra HDMI inputs would be nice (plan on plugging in a PS3 as well as a PC), size doesn't matter as much. Right now I'm looking at these two:
Acer
ASUS
Leaning towards the ASUS at the moment (just looks better, and the brand is better?)

Fair enough XD I did consider the tarantula but liked the features and look of the lycosa more, gonna look at some more keyboards before buying

Do they have the latest HDMi support (1.3)?

Dunno, I can't tell from looking at either of the specifications. I'm guessing probably not since they've been around for a while. On second thought, I think it might be better for me to stray away from my initial cheap route and pick something that will last a long time and has any extra bells/whistles I might need. I don't mind paying more to have something larger that I could use as a TV as well, and will last forever (I've had my current monitor for almost 5 years and it's still going strong).

The only thing I'd say the Tarantula lacking is back-lit keys, it's built like a tank, typing feel is perfect, much better than the Lycosa and for me a little better than the G15 (either version of it), macros are generally good enough but sometimes I do run out of character space on them.

EDIT: Finny read my post way up thar ^.

Hmm, on second thoughts, if I wanted Freeview on my computer, would this be a solution?

I plan to get when I buy my new comp in the next moth or so (hopefully), mostly for the fact that it's a TV and I can use just one screen in my room instead of 2.

Nice! That's the kind of thing I'm looking for. I just didn't want to spend $XXXX on a real TV.
