A while ago I couldnt join some servers because it kept saying I had this .DLL file that I shouldnt, I tried on a few different servers and kept getting kicked by PB. I had no idea what was going on so I found the .DLL and deleted it.

Now, this guy CaZaDoR keeps asking me if I'm still using hacks and tells everyone I'm using hacks - Which I NEVER have done and never will do because I love BF2 and I'm not going to ruin it by using hacks or whatever.

I headed over to the punksbusted site and looked on the master ban list - there I am

[PsB:4883 V004F675E] 27bdeccf9cf66826779913748f713923 "E7IX3R" "**.*.***.**" MD5TOOL #9002 (Dark_BF2.dll)

What the hell is the Dark_BF2.dll? I know what a .DLL is and what it does but I don't know what this is.

(I dont use a virus blocker or a firewall because I can get rid of virusses manually.)

They said you were banned by PB 9 times.

Not sure what to make of your scenario but it didn't look good on you last week.

What the fuck? I don't know how I missed that. I've never used hacks/cheats, look at my stats, 330 hours and I've only just managed to get a positive K/D ratio, my stats are fairly average and I definately don't think my stats look like the stats of a cheater.

If anyone can show me this thread it'd be much appriciated

Man, locate your punkbuster folder and try to update your pb manually. I don't have BF2 on this PC so I can't tell you more for now.

i dunno, if he's been banned *%^$# 9 TIMES!!!!, then i'm not trusting him (how can you get banned 9 times over by punksbusted, isn't your account locked up after the first time? Someone must REALLY hate you (or you hack and you're not admitting it))

I dont even remember being banned this many times, I tried joining a server and got kicked after a few seconds, so I tried joining another server and got kicked again. Thats when I quit the game and searched my bf2 file for any files that shouldnt be there.

If you look on my stats on here, it says I've been banned 2 times, I think thats from the servers I tried joining whilst having this bad file.

I honestly don't care about my stats - the size of my E-Penis, so I've got no need to use hacks to improve my ability.

only way you could get on that list if you hooked an outside .dll file to bf2.exe and punkbuster detected it, the only way you need to attach a .dll file is when you use a game altering within address such purpose is to accomplish visual hacks, time hacks, and one non hack related example that I know of is if you have a virus that attaches .dll files.

A thing to remember when accusing somebody, you may need to apolagise afterwards. I accused somebody before in a manner perhaps not so blatant. However, I wasn't the first or the last before they got reset. There isnt a "book" running but if there was my money would be on "not guilty". Now before anyone asks my motives here of defending him, we don't know each other but I have played either on his team or against his team on EA UK Servers. (64 man)

I don't think I need to bring up various stats anymore to make people believe im not a hacker - my accuracy speaks for itself.

No one accuses you of anything bro, it's just that they have technology in place that is 99.99% accurate as far as detection of unknown .dll attached to bf2 process, and I shit you not md5 cannot be wrong unless modified on their side which I highly doubt

Oh one word to all that cheat you loose in bf2 big time because you will be unable to play that is unless you get new hardware so far they take notice of HardDrive serial, MAC address.

Most of the guys that were replying on the other thread were saying wow, he got banned that many times hes gotta be a hacker. They're so friggin stupid. What if someone went to Christian Gaming servers and kept saying they were satanists and got banned from everyone. That doesn't make them a hacker.

Can you name one example for him arriving at the masterban list of punkbuster and beeing totally innocent ?
I wish him best luck because ban should be timely based and not permament as it is now.
So only example I can think of that punkbuster has made a mistake is that if admin of the server somehow modified his md5 checksum, which would make an admin pretty fucking eleet but anyhow I can explain to you how this process works in-depth but it would take 3-4 pages of writing assuming you know some assembly language.

Dude, this is PB master ban list. Not some single server ban.

Read the thread, and understand it, before posting.

if you mess about with punkbuster i.e. delete a DLL file, punkbuster will automatically assume you have something to hide and therefore kick and ban you in addition to having your name slapped on the MBL.

I would guess you have been added to the MBL because of this. You can plead your case to evenbalance whether you are successful is another story.

Now you will still be able to join PB servers, the ones you wont be able to join are those servers streaming the MBL from punksbusted.com. The amount of servers streaming th MBL is well, not very many as many servers admins are oblivious to punksbusted, streaming the MBL and that punkbuster requires more that just having it installed.

The MD5 tool is used to determine whether the PNG file has been doctored with, hence no point in sumbitting Jpegs.

Next time when you're having PB trouble just update it using this

This is a manulay Update PB. Is it windows version you using ? If so I will post you back, PB Updater we made so it will save you time doing it all manualy let me know Peace Boris

if you do wana update PB manualy this is how you doit

1. go to http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=dl-bf2.php

2. save this file http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/bf2/pbsec.htm In following directory
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\pb\htm and save it there

do the same for this File http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/bf2/wc001227.htm

and this file http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/bf2/wa001365.htm

Now get out of htm folder and go to dll folder located
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\pb\dll
and save the folowing file there

http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/bf2/pbsvnew.dll

all the above will manulay update your PB for windows if you using lunix version do the same but save the other files isntead if you having problem Still let me know and i will make custom PB updater so you don't have 2 mess around with it
