It's almost exactly to the day 20 years ago since the fall of the Berlin Wall, the icon of the Iron Curtain and Cold War which divided a city in half for decades.

U2 had a gig at Brandenburger Tor, Berlin to commemorate this historic event, dealt out 10 000 free tickets and in order to keep the 90 000 others who showed up for this free concert to not see what's going on, nor get in, they put up a high wall.

"I thought it's a free show, but MTV probably wants people to watch it on TV to get their ratings up."

Well not really even that, there was a wall Seperating East from West in some areas, but Berlin was wholly within East Germany and itself was divided into East/West Berlin. So West Berlin was a Western Germany enclave in East Germany

and it still should be I say put that wall back up
