So accustomed to being bought and sold, Washington simply begins processing forms so it can hand over your tax dollars to create jobs in a turbine factory in the city of Shenyang, China at a subsidy of $193,133 each.

It’s like these bureaucrats live in Wonderland. Or an America where the unemployment rate isn’t 10.2 percent. Or where 40,000 American manufacturing facilities didn’t disappear in the past decade. Or where banks didn’t repossess nearly a quarter million American homes in the past three months.

I hope at least 2/3rds of Congress and Senate contract anal cancer.

I can't fucking stand it.

Why did 40,000 American manufacturing jobs disappear in the last decade? Sorry, reading Atlas Shrugged atm... manufacturing shrunk because it's a global economy and America (and Ireland or any other European nation) is more expensive than say Ecuador (or China for that matter). Let's not forget that most of the last decade was regarded as a 'boom', however erroneous that assertion was.

Should it be the government's responsibility to set up the arguably necessary but currently relatively non-existent turbine manufacturing capacity? Ultimately those types of jobs will barely exist in our 'developed economies'. The intellectual property will of course remain here however.

No, the IP won't remain here.

China has a very long history of blatant disregard for our intellectual property laws.
