Yeh dude, but Hospital dealt with it well I thought. His wasn't a pre pitched CD it was just a mix CD. And the CDJ wasn't turned on when he was "using" it.
I've just seen that Chase and Status use pre pitched CD's and my guess was pretty much what you said Uzique. Shame

EDIT - I don't say it was "just" a pre mixed CD as if it's better. In my opinion thats worse, because it's putting less effort in.

it was "just" a mix CD? playing a mix CD live is even worse than pre-pitching... the guy was turning up to live shows, respected d'n'b shows to add more insult to injury, and pressing 'Play' on a SINGLE deck and then PRETENDING to mix. the crossfader was turned 100% to the one deck for the entire live-set, haha. you can't make that shit up. for a headlining, big-name drum'n'bass producer to do that is unforgivable, i hope that guy takes his ass along with his shitty unimaginative tracks and never reappears in the d'n'b scene. hospital handled it well? they had to, are you shitting me. london elektricity is one of the most militant and ardent defenders of the 'war on vinyl'. it would be hypocrisy to a new extreme if they ever showed even a glimpse of support for an artist that essentially turns up with a digital-CD and then 'mimes' the act of being a DJ.

chase & status are overhyped shit as well, so that news doesnt really surprise me. they're chapter 2 of the 'Drum n Bass for Dumbies' book, right after the introduction and Chapter 1: Pendulum.

They could have handled it worse, and gone along the lines of "it's pretty common nowadays, why does it matter". Personally I like his tracks though. Well. Some of them.
And yeh, C&S aren't great but as one of the more "popular" names out there to people with less knowledge of the genre, for some reason I expected them to put on a decent set, rather than being completely half arsed about it. Plus it's kind of upsetitng knowing I'm seeing them when I see The Prodigy next year, and it will probably be a pre pitched CD.
