Yeah, I saw this a few days ago.  Very easy to copy - you just need to watch the person's arm movements from your door peephole, even if it's really quiet.

This guy would make an excellent airline pilot.

"To our left you'll see uhhhhhh..."

"Temperature on the round is uhhhhhh..."

This idea is cool but totally ridiculous as an actual lock for a front door...Or any door that you do not want a person to gain entry to. If a person hears the sound, it can easily be repeated even by a 4 year old I'm sure.
Nature is a powerful force. Those who seek to subdue nature, never do so permanently.

He's not marketing it, didn't have any plans to sell it, and is only considering making a kit because so many people have taken an interest in it.

It's a little electronics project, it's novel, and kind of cool. Taking it as anything more then that and arguing its downfalls is ridiculous.

That's pretty need, though useless for important doors. Like Defiance said, it's novel and kind of cool. I'd get one just to have a gimmick

I can also see myself tapping a ridiculous beat into it

Would be a neat thing if you roomed with a bunch of people and wanted to have a lock on your bedroom door. Would certainly confuse the shit out of people. Add in a software control to put in a set level of tolerance and you can make it as exact and secure as you want. Because let's face it, if someone is watching you, they're going to have to practice first. Maybe also make a set number of allowed tries before the system locks up and you need a master pattern to unlock it (or a key).
