Wireless Router to Wireless Router?

I heard that this may be possible, if so how?
I have a Linksys WRT54GL and a Netgear WRG614 v7
I want to have it where my Netgear will be hooked up to my 360 while it is receiving a "wireless connection" from my Linksys Router which is hooked up to my Comcast modem, both are wireless.

Yeah you can use different firmware with your router to make it act as client as well ...

should I just update my linksys to the ddwrt firmware and boost the signal? because if I hooked my linksys/modem to the 360 and my PC is running wirelessly off a USB the signal from the router to the PC is only about 40-65%, and a ethernet cable is no go, I would need like 150ft of it

150ft is no problem for Cat5, running it might be.

The problem with boosting the signal on the router is that you have to do the same on the client, which you may or may not be able to.

It won't be a problem but it makes my house look ghetto, can't have that in an asian house! Well I mean just boosting the signal from one router which is the linksys which is capable of the DDWRT firmware so I can have a better signal all around the house

Don't boost the signal too high, you can damage the wireless router permanently.

This is what you want. I have one and they work great. You plug it into your wireless router via CAT5 and it "learns" your frequency. Unplug it from the router and move it to any area of your house that has a weak signal.

Sober enough to know what I'm doing, drunk enough to really enjoy doing it

Hmm I need this too. But I was thinking of just buying a stronger antenna for my Linksys access point, should be cheaper. The damn thing reaches our summer house but not inside.

Whatever you do, DO NOT buy a Cantenna.

I spent $50 on one, then had to buy an extender cable for it for an additional $20. They suck they suck they suck.

@Op, An AP would work better. That's not to say using two routers won't work. KCD mentions a good one.

Yeah, just get an AP, or a router that supports AP mode. I have my 360 connected to it, then wirelessly connected to my Linksys.

As for your PC, is that a lappie or desktop? If desktop, get an internal. USB wireless tends to get pathetic signals.

it's a desktop, yeah usb gets bad signals but it works pretty good, I might have to get that AP you mentioned KCD, but its $100 lol

Ok I installed DDWRT on my Linksys and I boosted the signal to 120mW(overkill lol) we'll see how well it is for a few weeks, I rather resort to this method then buying another AP, but I might just use this linksys as a AP and use my netgear to connect to it if needed.

Ok I need to have my netgear in my PC room lol, DotA is very unplayable without a router next to my pc, So should I installed the tomato over the DDWRT? I heard that it helps, but the problem is, am I able to connect wireless with my Netgear WGR614 V7 to my linksys? Maybe i'm just total noob and I messed up somewhere...
