Now honestly, any of the old timers could easily tell you the difference between then and now. Yes, then it was a bit more rowdy and you never knew what kind of shit was gonna get pulled, BUT THAT WAS THE FUN OF IT!! You never knew what to expect and every night there was something new and original and hilarious happening. Like for instance the ping pong threads, that was so imple yet so hilarious and didnt cause any harm, yet people got banned. Everyone laughed and most people remember it and snicker.
Nowadays, since those guys are gone, you know what to expect everytime you come here, not that its bad, but there is no spontiniuety(sp?) to the site anymore. Basically you just have a lot of threads talking about what's going on in the news or a thread about someone asking a question or a poll about something mundane. Also, notice of those people in the lists above are mods.

I went for Dim Sum in Chinatown last weekend. Was alright. I've learned that I'm not as big a fan of the actual Chinese cuisine as I am the shitty whitepeople-ized food they serve in fastfood kind of places. But the whole principle of it is great, I'd love to see it implemented in other kinds of restaurants. Just people coming by with cart after cart of food, shoving it in your face and asking if you want it. Like buffet, but you don't have to get up to get more (hooray being lazy!)

Then they are barking out things to the passing waiters and waitresses. It's crazy! The one we go to in Irvine has awesome pork sausage dumplings. I just point at what I like and my coworkers get more.
