So my friend wants to make a computer, his budget is around $1300-$1400 (US dollars)
I picked out this for him, let me know if there's anything that you would change
btw, no, he doesn't need a mouse, or a screen

Sony DVD Drive
640GB Hard Drive
5770 Graphics Card
Saitek Eclipse Keyboard
Asus P6T
Case Fan
Slot Fan
Rosewill 950W PSU (came out to be the same price as some lower wattage ones, so why not)
OCZ DDR3 1600 6GB RAM
Intel i7 920
Silenx i7 CPU Cooler
HAF Case (might change)

after 2 bundles, and shipping it comes out to $1,283.38

Rosewill 950W.... NO.

that is over 700w overkill and poor build quality doesn't get any better when you slap more numbers in the box. Something else from Corsair, Enermax or Seasonic.

Change cooler to Scythe Mugen 2.

WD Black HDD instead.

If you have a microcenter close to you you can pick up the processor for $200

better cooler, cheaper iirc.  the black is used for programs and shit whereas the green is energy saving for data storage

update: anyway you guys could help me get it down to $800?
I'm thinking a cheap intel dual core that is a great overclocker
and maybe a cheaper graphics card if it's needed

yeah 800$ should be more than enough or you can get an ever lower price up to 600 or 650
