I was driving home from work today and a honda civic pulled up next to me at a light and was revving his engine at me like he wanted to race. I looked at him and he gave me some sort of angry deep stare and kept revving his engine. The light turned green and and started going really fast and I just just driving at a normal speed.

Eventually he jumps in front me and I'm sitting at the light again looking at his bumper wondering what the fuck is going on.
He had one of these stupid ass bumpers

So what is it about owning a honda civic that turns everyone into a total retard when it comes to cars and life? Seems like every honda civic owner is a complete dipshit when it comes to anything related to cars including driving.

The true is: these guys with tunning cars doesn't know nothing about DRIVE. They just have heavy foot. If you put them in a kart race (the great school for races), you'll see that they really f%#* su#@*. No skills. But they thik they are great because Hollywood says.

It's the cool thing to have, and is cheap and easy to modify since it's so popular there are many aftermarket parts for it.

That's why I got something totally different because I hate having something that everyone has, sure I don't have as much aftermarket parts available but people give me positive comments about my car because it's more unique and the fact there are not many around, and the fact that I'm not a douche

Note: not everyone that has a civic is automatically a douche, mostly those that put over the top decals, annoying mufflers(some mufflers sound awesome, just not the ricey ones mainly on civics) etc. and think they own the world..

Parents bought them a nice, cheap, reliable car for their birthday.
Kids spend their allowance on 'bling', and 'go-fast'.

In a word, they're douches that aren't guidos simply because they're in the wrong zip-code

The answer we were looking for was Torque.
Honda's high-rpm engines don't have it.
Making them spin those big-ass 20" wheels is going to make matters worse.

I had a civic for a couple years. Fun car to drive, begged to be driven hard. I loved it and at one point considered doing some minor improvements myself. Then I bought the neighbors accord and sold the civic. Now I am a laid back cruising type.

I think it has to do with how the car feels to begin with. No it is not a true sports car, but if done right (not large diameter wheels) they can be pretty darn fast and handle pretty awesome for not a lot of money. Besides, it is easier for some to slowly build up a car rather than drop 25k+ up front.
