They are also gouramis.  The kissing is them having a little scrap.

I had a grand fish. A goldfish or carp perhaps. The fish lived for 2-4 years, I don't remember so well. When s/he passed, I wrapped the sea creature in a coffin of boxes, foil, and rocks and cast the beast to the bottoms of the pond at Greenwood Cemetery.

Just got a second catfish, they're pals now.  The new one's still exploring the tank, we'll see who emerges as the leader.

Anyone know how to determine the gender of a corydora catfish?

The females are larger than the males of the same age range, and tend to be rounder in body shape.  If you look at a male and a female from above, the females are much wider across the middle.

So, my lovely little Cory snuffed it the other day.  I fancied replacing him with a couple more, but instead opted for a pair of Paradise Gouramis.  They are the two largest fish in my 120 litre tank now and my crazy big Zebra Danio is upset because he isn't tank boss any more!  I love Gouramis and these two have excellent colouration on them.  They've been snacking away happily on some bloodworms, I just hope they don't decide to munch on my tetras when they get bigger!

Used to have a great tank, but sold it when we moved here.

Then I got sea-monkeys but it just wasn't the same.

Hated cleaning the damn thing though.

sea-monkeys suck

cleaning isn't that bad, I've been having issues with diatoms turning the rocks black though, and they're hard to clean.  One of the barbs keeps eating them, it turned her brown...
