I'm getting a significant number of crashes from the game to desktop recently. It's sometimes more than one per day, but definately at least 1 per day. I'm not sure what's going on and was wondering if anyone else if having the same troubles and/or if anyone has any info on how I can fix it.

its the new patch
It has happened to me......usually when I double click on a server to join it. I go straight to desktop and BF2 has shut down completely, I restart the game and all is well.
It doesn't happen every day but this is something new since the release of the latest patch.

It's to the point now where as soon as I enter a server and start moving It'll crash. Are you sure it's the patch?
Try re-installing the game and using the full v1.22 patch.
I haven't crashed to desktop in a very long time. I also reformatted recently though.
yes they fix one thing fuck up another sometimes makes you think if its really mice that run this corporation
It's been happening to me as well. I'd be in the middle of a game, then it would slowly crash to desktop. It never did this before the patch, I don't think...
I have this problem sometimes, when i click join game when the server is loaded or in teh middle of a round,

The worst part about this problem is when you're having an amazing game and your team is going to win, because the round is almost over..... the game crashes. That really, really SUCKS!!!
For some reason my game crashes every time I choose a new unlock.
