Once again, this isn't to do with what the law regards as right/wrong, it's what you as a human should understand is right/wrong. So where do we draw the line? Am I not supposed to get scared if 10 bandanna wearing black men board the train with pieces? They're just law abiding citizens too? Yeah?
would you be less scared if you couldn't see their guns? do you carry a bucket of sand around with you so you can shove your head in it on the go?
but see here's the thing about criminals......
they break the law. it's kind of their job.
i don't support unlicensed open/concealed carry, simply based on how many ignorant assholes are out there who would do it for the wrong reasons

Being scared of a gun is not an illogical fear. The weapon is DESIGNED to kill, that is the purpose of it. Police officers? zZz, what a terrible chestnut to crack. From a VERY young age kids are taught that these people dedicate their lives to protecting others. Police officers are usually always in uniform and easily noticeable from any citizen. Ergo, children understand that these people are there to protect them.
most police officers(afaik) carry concealed while not in uniform
a lot of kids are also taught that anyone else who has guns (for any reason) is a knuckle dragging, sister fucking, redneck
cue the 50s cartoon reference
EEEEEEEEEEK A GUN *jumps on chair holding dress around knees*
