TSI: Cholera in the time of love; +247|6240|Toronto

Funny situation:
I have my two computers in my room, and now a bunch of mates and I are trying to have a LAN party. Problem is, I am lacking slots on my router. Is there way to use the second ethernet port on my computer's mobo (ASUS M2N32-SLi Deluxe) as a repeater, so that I can plug another comp into the network from there?

Yeah you will be able to, I've not done it myself, but I've been connected to a network through my brothers computer. You have to fuck about with some settings in control panel. Give me a minute, I'll have a quick google for you.

Right click your network connection (The one he connects to) and go into the IP settings. Set yours as something like 192.168.0.10 and do the same at his end, but with a similar IP (192.168.0.20).

Might have to fuck about with more settings, but it's all possible.

Or try and set up Connection Sharing.
