Looking for some headphones. I'm willing to spend up to 120 dollars on them. I don't want them to be giant headphones, and I prefer the in-ear headphones. I want something that'll replace my old apple headphones as they are finally starting to fall apart. Thanks.

ed: You can find some pretty nicely discounted in-ears on amazon, I recommend it. I had a few issues with the klipsch custom 2s I bought - hoping this ultimate ears turn out better. 70 for the 220s, or 150 for the 700s.

I survived about two years with the apple "shitphones." I want something I could just throw in my pocket with my iPod Touch. I don't want to go running with huge ass headphones on. They are mainly just for my touch and a little bit for my laptop and other stuff. Plus, i figured I could use an upgrade.

Oh dear god. You actually believe that? Bose earphones are utter shit. Worthless crap that is expensive.

Sennheiser is good, and has a lot better sound than Bose.

If you want sound quality - Klipsch, UE, Shure, Denon, Etymotic.
If you want sound quality with good bass - Sennheiser
If you want comfort - All of the above, it just depends on what you like.

For $120, I would personally grab the Etymotic Hf2 (approx $130). If you can up your budget, then the UE 700s. If you want something cheaper, then Denon and Sennheiser have a few nice ones.

Metro-Fi series are supposed to be pretty good but I haven't heard them just a lot of people I know use them and say they are good

I use the comply tips, they feel like earplug material, soft and comfy. They're $15 standalone, though, so you might want to try the ones that come with them first. They're comfy too.

Aight thanks. I saw in your thread that you bought the 700s and you loved them so far. So I'm hoping I'll love the 220s when I get them. Hows the friction with the wire for the 700s? I don't know if they are the same, but is it bad? Just curious cause I saw a couple reviews, not a lot, about the 220 wire being a bit annoying.

The wire is nice and smooth for me, much better than the mesh one that the Klipsch Custom 2s had. No issues here.

End thread. Get some shure in ears that are designed for musical applications. SLC3's should be fine. I play music for a living so I have the top of the line in ears with dual drivers and an in line crossover built in. I have since stopped using them, as they disconnect me from the crowd, but in any musical or audio necessary application they are pure win.

Personally i'm a big sennheiser fan. 4 pairs of earphones/headphones and not a single problem and great sound quality.
