An older PC not working

Well it does seem to work as all the lights turn on but the monitor doesn't get any signal. I tried 2 different GFX cards, same result. Cable is fine.

Specs:

Athlon XP 2k
512MB RAM (256x2)
200W PSU
GeForce 4, Radeon 9600
WD 40GB ATA
Asus A7V266-c

Tried booting without HDD and RAM but it does not post, just blank screen.

I'm suspecting the battery (CR2032), I only have a CR2025 to try out but am not sure if its compatible. (both batteries run off 3 volts)

It takes a while for the fanless CPU cooler to get warm but it does, NB also gets warm. There is no speaker in the case so I can't what the mobo is beeping.

Update: I connected a different case with a speaker to the mobo but it does not beep.

Are the caps OK? What brand are they?

You should also connect a speaker and see if it makes any beeping noises when you turn it on without RAM; if it doesn't say anything when you do that, either the CPU or the motherboard is done for. What brand is the PSU, are the caps in it OK?

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

I checked all the caps and they seem fine, mobo is in an excellent condition, I can't even find dust on it. I did connect a speaker to the mobo but either the speaker does not work or the mobo doesn't beep at all. Connected a different, more powerful PSU and nothing has changed.

Yes it does, worked fine 3 days ago when connected to my HTPC.

sounds like the mobo's BIOS CMOS chip may have corrupted. Happened to 2 of my old PCs.

Only the mobo is connected to the PSU as the CPU doesn't seem to need the 4-pin auxiliary power cable. HDD also unplugged

Did you put both graphics cards in the same slot? (I'm assuming a PCI-slot). If yes, maybe try a different one?

I don't think a computer with 512mB of RAM will have two PCI-e slots

true, but didn't use these old gfx-cards (geforce 4 sounds like it's ancient...) pci-without-the-e-slots?

AGP 4x, one slot obviously

Freezer they are black I think they are Rubys, it says MBZ on them. PSU is Macron 200W but I did try a different PSU and the results were the same.

Ok nvm, I won't be fixing it, its old and poor performing PC anyway, I'll just take some of the components out and save them.
