Stopping by the local BP station tonight on my way home from work, some idiot decided he was going to park his Pontiac GTO inside the station.
I heard this muffled bang/crash as I'm about to enter the store. As I walk on through the doors, I keep hearing crashing and banging, I look across the store to see the plate glass windows shattered to hell. I had a look on my face like "what the hell", the guy that walked into the store right ahead of me turned around and gave me the exact same look.
More crashing and banging, as glass continues to fall, and things keep getting shuffled around. He must have hit the soda machine, I think he burst a CO2 bottle or two, it was kind of foggy in the store. Kind of a weird look inside. It took me a few seconds to realize exactly what happened. At first I just thought the window broke on it's own, then I realized that a car had driven into the store.
One guy with his little girl with him barely escaped injury, he was getting a cup of coffee right where the car drove into the store. He said if he had stood there 10 more seconds he would have been hit. Luckily no one was hurt.
I guess that's about the most entertainment I've had in a good while.
I didn't even think to get pics with my cell till I was half way home. I was so caught up in what happened to think to get pics. I'll see if I can get some from the local newspaper tomorrow, or from the local TV news.
