Do you have to complete a round in order for your score to register?

I've always wanted to know if it is absolutely necessary to finish a round in order for the points and kills to register into your stats? If you leave a game abruptly before the end of a round, then the points, kills, deaths, etc... are negated and do not register into your stats.

I know that if you receive an award, like a badge/ribbon/medal, you must wait until the round is over to receive it.

I'm fairly sure your stats update at the end of that round. Though I have heard if you get banned from a server, your stats don't update.

You leave during the game, the stats won't update until the round finishes.

No you don't need to complete a round for stats to update, if I make a new account and want secondary unlocks, I just join an SF server then quit straight after it will give me the second unlock when the round is finished-same with stats.
I'm pretty sure like Hakei said if you get banned then your stats won't update, I got banned from a server yesterday and my stats didn't update.
I'm not sure that if say you had 30-0 on a server and quit before it finished, not sure if you get 1 death for quitting or not, or if the death only counts when you re-join. Anyone know?

It counts as a death regardless of joining the server again or not.

Also if the round stops because the total player count is too low then the stats don't register.

You can even leave a server, come back later and continue playing with the same score you had before (if the round hasn't finished yet obviously).
