I have a stupid care package story.
I called one in, it landed on a rafter. I started shooting it, it wouldn't fall. I threw a nade at it, that knocked it loose. I ran over to collect, only to have the nade I just threw land on my head.

I think i killed a teammate with one last night! but the no good bastard was probably on the way to steal it.
at least it takes thieves ages to steal them, you can normally get 3 of the ones you drop, i've never gotten all 4

Except it was all his fault. He threw it out in a place with heavy activity and died. I got in there and killed everyone else and took it before anyone came back to fight me for it again. Some people are so selfish, I told him that it's a good thing I got it and not the enemy, but he didn't understand
That's why whenever i get it i wait until i die or simply run back to our half of the map. But still, if i'm alive i don't expect to have to race to get my killstreaks... one day i'm gonna be missing out on the AC130... you mark my words. Can you even get nukes in the airdrops?

Nuke
Care Package
Emergency Airdrop
Imagine if they did include either of the latter two. You could theoretically get endless packages. Also, no one wants to get a care package, and then have one drop with another care package in it; it'd unlikely, but very annoying.

The only person you can blame when someone else takes your package is yourself. You're the one who had the grenade to choose the location, maybe you should pick a better spot or a better time.
