5770 + CoD4/2 = fail

Whenever I start up CoD2 or CoD4, the screen will flicker a bit, as normal, then it'll crash to desktop. I've ran as Admin, with compatibility for XP and Vista, but neither work.

Strangely, CoD:MW2 will start up and run fine.

Halp?

I'm going with driver issue then.

Also try deleting your configs, maybe there's a setting it doesn't like.

Just reinstalled, also I've googled the shit outta this, nobody else has a problem with it.

Not sure if this will lead anywhere, but may be worth a try.

In your config_mp.cfg, find "seta r_fullscreen 1". Change to 0.

Now the game should start in window mode.

In BF2, when the screen goes black and crashes to desktop, running in windowed mode will give an error instead of just crashing. Maybe COD4 will too, might give you a clue.

I've not been able to start it up, so I've never made a profile >.< No config to edit.
