Chances are some people here have seen this site back when it was up...

Turns out it still exists, but only in a members-only invite-only form of some kind. www.ogrishforums.com ... and guess who still has an account? Yep, me. Holy hell, the shit that is there to be seen is unbelievable. Then the people that post there - truly from all "walks of life". You got anti-Semites, Nazis, Islamists, etc. Everything. Then the videos and the pictures and the stories - fucking sick. I just looked at the titles of a lot of threads on the first page of the videos and photos sections and what's amazing is the number of suicides, but not only that, the murders. I mean, it really makes you think about humanity in a different way when you see all that stuff.

Then the videos made by Taliban and Iraqi insurgents are all posted there ... absolutely unbelievable. You see videos similar to this on the news or hear about videos being posted to Islamist websites, but there it's all in one place and regularly updated.

Yea ... I don't know if I am ever going back to that place ever again.

I came across Ogrish when I was 10 or 12. It desensitized me like you wouldn't believe.

I saw the Eugene Armstrong beheading video (by far the worst of any) when I was 13, and the Daniel Pearl video when I was 11. Also saw the Korean guy's beheading as well as Nick Berg's.

The first video I saw was the Bud Dwyer suicide video when I was about 10. I refused to believe it was real. Only years later did I find out it was.

I watched the original Iraqi beheading video ... I had to force myself through it. I felt I had to see it to kind of understand what the enemy was like. Kinda wish I hadn't. I could certainly watch some of that shit nowadays, still ... but I really don't want to. I can barely look at the thumbnails of some of the images that were there. Absolutely horrible.

Before I transferred Universities, I was studying to be a mortician.

At first pictures and videos of that stuff bothered me but now I can see it up close and it doesn't affect me at all. I blame video games.

I remember back in middle school me and my friends were going on Ogrish.com and downloading Faces of Death videos from Kazaa or Morpheus. It was almost like a competition, to see who could show everyone else the most disturbing video.

It eventually came down to a video I only saw once but will never forget. I guy sounded like he was reading off his will or something, then pulled a small gun out of an envelope, put it in his mouth and pulled the trigger. He slumped to the floor and the camera zoomed in to a completely blank look on his face, blood was pouring out of his nose, mouth, and the top of his head. I remember equating it to someone having turned on a faucet to full blast.
