I played some other games on it.... not too keen on them I'd say though. The tennis is pretty awesome...so is the WiiFit thing but that costs a bit more.

Mario Party 8 is a good game if you have more than 1 person. The new Mario Kart is also friggin awesome, it's got so much replay value in it, it isn't even funny.
I hear the Metroid series is quite good. There's a boxed set that you can get called Metroid Prime Triology that has both GCN games and the new Wii game in it. That'll probably be my next purchase for it.

Brawl is lots of fun, has a new and weird 1p mode. Mario Kart gets stale after a while but it awesome for MP. I haven't played too much with the new super mario bros wii but it's pretty much exactly what you would expect. More fun with more people.
MP only:
Wii Sports Resort: Fun, but the amount of stuff you can do dwindles after so long. Quite a few decent games, but quite a few gimmicky games (I'm looking at you, wakeboarding). If you do a lot of head to head or have people over who want to do a round of bowling, it's worth it.
edit: When I say MP I mean real life people. Online is pretty okay for Brawl and Mario Kart.

Wii Sports, Wii Resort, Deer Drive (it's like a slaughter), The Links crossbow game is fun, Sega Bass Fishing, Get the rechargeable battery pack kit, Tiger Woods golf is fun, Wii love golf is fun but a bit more toony same goes for Little League World Series 09'.... I'm gonna get a baseball&football game next.

ya know, it's amazing how many books and other such utility programs you can get for the DS, but there is NOTHING like that for the Wii - kama sutra for the Wii is something I would buy.
