Doesn't look like a bad system, i was given a Samsung surround system, very similar to what you are looking to buy there. When you buy a
cheaper home theatre system like that, don't expect it to cover all bases, they don't particularily excel at music playback but they do pretty well at 5.1.
It all comes down to what you want to spend, you can do
better and the cost of that is generally relative to the end product. Obviousley there are exceptions to that rule, but for $300, you can't go too wrong when buying a decent brand home theatre, such as Sony.
