Hey guys. At my brothers just now, he got an Xbox 360 live thing for his 360 for Christmas and it is failing at the IP part of it.

Can anyone talk to me on msn/xfire/steam or whatever and talk me through how to find out the right IP/Subnet mask settings etc to put in to get him and up and running? would be really appreciated!

This should help you/your brother out. The easiest way to do it would to be set your IP settings on the xbox to automatic like it says in that link once you answer a couple of questions.

edit: Does your brothers router use DHCP to automatically assign IP addresses to other computers on the network?
