Yesterday I had a lot of fun on Smoke Screen with my hobby, sniping pilots out of the Tiger.

I tested what damage a M95 does to a chopper on an empty server,it's 1-2 bars, you can "pinch" choppers with it all the time, can be very annoying for the pilot.
And since I did this I use the M95 a lot more and I think I've downed over 40 smoking attackchoppers with all different kinds of weapons while they tried to retreat, the classic M95,shotgun,even with the Beretta.

Usually there's only [Killed] in the kill-message,like a "normal" roadkill with a tank or a jet, sometimes it says [M95].
Yesterday I killed the pilot of the Tiger and it said [M95],then the Tiger crashed and killed 3 other enemies waiting at the airfield, one was killed with [Tiger HAP],the other 2 had just the [Killed] message.

My question is to which weapon-stat are these kills added?Go they all to sniper-rifle?If it says [Tiger HAP] in the killmessage does BF2 recognize this kill as a chopper roadkill, although caused by an M95?

yea i guess the one that said [Tiger HAP] went under chopper roadkills. about the [Killed] message, i have no idea. prob goes to the same place where the kills you get for sniping explosive barrels go.

you get an [killed] message if you for example throw down a claymore and you die and then it kills someone.... as for the other [killed]massages i dont know

[killed] and [Tiger HAP] are chopper roadkills. Only [M95] message counts as a sniper rifle kill. Not so sure about [killed] but most likely it's a roadkill because when you're trying to get explosives badge [killed] doesn't count as a c4 kill
EDIT: spelling lol

the worst is when you shoot down the copter kill the pilot but it lands and kills you own team mates and u get the teamkill i cant figure out where you get credit for [killed]

When you shoot at the chopper, pilot tries to maneuver and crashes. You get [killed].

So the barrett damages choppers...but does it count toward opr against your accuracy?

I don't think so. Most likely accuracy measures on infantry hits

No, if it does damage to something, that counts for accuracy. That's why stupid people sit the whole round shooting at Humvees and Black Hawks to improve their acc. so they can brag about it.

i think i have this one figured out... if you blow up a HUMMV and there is someone next to it, you get a roadkill... so if your claymore blew up a hummv (low health before, of corse), and someone just bailed out, or it was set on fire and somone bailed out, you get a roadkill for it. i figured this out because i have several hundred roadkills in the chopper, and i know i havent run over 400 some people....

roadkills are indirect kills.... so the guys that got killed as a result of the tiger kaboom, go straight to your heli roadkill count.

I shot at Cobras and DPVs all day today and my accuracy went up 1%.

But I think it only counts as a hit when you get the hit indicator in your crosshair,so that means an enemy has to sit in it.

And today I brought a smoking DPV to explode, this time it said M95,could have been that I hit the driver with the last shot, but the thing definitely exploded.

So the M95 actually is an anti-material rifle in BF2,the damage isn't just very significant but it's there.

I was always kinda hesitant with wasting my ammo for a chopper I "don't damage" anyway, but since I've tested it on an empty server and seen the 1-2 bars disappear (I flew the chopper from the helipad, gave it one shot to a certain section and then got in the chopper to see how much damage it took.) I always shoot at choppers with the M95.
And it doesn't matter to me if they are smoking or not,I just plink away, the pilot gets irritated,1-2 bars can be the decisive amount of energy that he's gonna be missing in the next enemy encounter and there's still the chance of a lucky headshot which usually means the demise of the copilot aswell.

And that it turns out to be effective is shown in the fact that I get kill damage assists from shooting at the chopper,so I must have damaged it more than half of the energy.

Well this is badass, now I feel better when plinkin away at the choppers hoping to hit a pilot or gunner knowing that damage is being done and im not just wasing my time. Last night I applied this to wake island since Im not very good at aircraft and what do ya know I took down a smoking transport copter with 3 peeps STILL in it with barrett. Oh the luck

Speaking of weapon roadkills, has anyone actualy killed someone by blowing up there gun? I once was in a jet co piloting with the anti tank rocket and it said I killed someone with the g36c, which is wierd since I dont have one...
