Sorry, I'm just too stoked and need to share/brag about this... So I was at the local immigration office waiting (for 4.5 bloody hours) to pick up my visa and one of the guys that I am friends with from my university shows up there, taking care of stuff for his wife since she's not Austrian. Not even 5 minutes into the conversation he offers me a job to work at the ministry he works at (Federal Ministry for Metrology and Surveying; measurement standards and GPS systems and such things, quite the broad array of duties) for a month in the summer as an intern. Best part is, I don't have to worry about getting a work visa or anything because it's an internship and related to my studies!!! Could even be making €1500 before taxes for that month, depending on how many hours I work each week (20-40). SWEET!!!!!!
