Naa it's a "fuck it" I should start living off the system, so many hours of work that equate to nothing cause I"m responsible.

Welfare is just seeming like a better option this day and age. It's like the difference between owning a home and renting. One just seems like a way better idea untill the world goes to shit.

It's a shame but so many people feel the same way. There's one thing that these people have in common - they are total fucking losers.

Welfare may seem like a good idea, money for nothing right, but really although it can be enough to live on you don't have money for holidays, you don't have money for nice things, you don't have money for a nice place to live. Those who do often either sudsidise their welfare by illegal means, be that woring illegaly or getting involved in drugs or alternatively ripping off the welfare system by claiming other benefits - unemployment, disability, DPB, etc. etc. There are many ways to play the system, all of it shady and all of it reflects the person as a complete dickhead.

Welfare shouldnt be a career choice it should be a safety net. I don't mind my tax money going to someone who's going through some trouble, maybe been layed off recenty and has to make ends meet or someone who's been made unable to work in some way or another but someone who's decided that they are quite happy to leech of others just beause they're not arsed to try and build themselves a career - and I know, it can seem like a daunting task - can honestly go to Hell.

Ultimately it's a pretty abysmal lifestyle anyway. It may seem great to somone in their late teens or early twenties but in the end it's a completely unsatisfying existance. Why you'd want to be content with a pretty dull, uninteresting and unsatisfying life is your own buisiness but personally I don't have time for anyone like that and nor should anyone else.

Jamesy, read what I wrote properly and THEN have a knee-jerk reaction.

To further explain - so many people just seem to think that welfare is a better career choice and ultimately people who think that are total fucking losers. I stand by that. Your girlfriend would fall, (hopefully,) into the other category, i.e. the people who legitimately need welfare.
