BF2S Forums Giving up seems like a better option

Anyway, disability is a difficult one, mostly because Doctors are held liable if their patient injures themselves again. Often that mean they'll keep people on benefits for way longer than they have to. A friend of mine was on disability for about a year after a knee injury - way longer than she had to be as she could work perfectly fine as an er, "Administrative Professional" with or without a bad knee.

I obviously don't know your situaton but as you're attending college you don't see like the type to be content with a welfare lifestyle, i.e. living off the unemployment benefit, not even bothered to build a career. If you do fit into this category then yeah, I'd say you'd be a complete fucking loser and I make no apologies for that opinion.

There is a time and place for welfare of all types, if they are actually used to help someone get a tertiary education or help someone who's between jobs or help someone who's temporarily or permenantly disabled in some way or help someone raise a family than all is well, that's what welfare is for. What it's NOT for is giving somone who's not arsed to better themselves a way to keep their beer fridge stocked. There are way too many of this type of person and they can go to Hell or at least give me a beer every once and a while considering that I bought it for them.

Welfare just seems like a better option with tax hikes, insurance payments, living arrangements and all real people bills going up in this world.

The people I know who work can't take vacations and are always looking for ways to be able to afford their bills, while the people on welfare always have money to do stuff and go on vacations. They only have to pay a certain amount of money for stuff..

Welfare is just seeming like a better option this day and age. It's like the difference between owning a home and renting. One just seems like a way better idea untill the world goes to shit.

Yeah I'm sure everyone on welfare is having the time of their lives. Living it up in sheer luxury. Round the clock vacations. Zero tax. What a wonderful idea, not work! It's so simple, I'm surprised more people haven't thought of it.
