going to leave ga when my lease is up in july. right now, florida is probably my best option. california would be nice, but its farther away and more expensive. i really want to travel all over europe, but i dont think i could actually live there just yet. i also want to check out costa rica, as ive heard its amazing down there. so what you say you, bf2s? open to all opinions

if you are looking for a relocation and not ready to settle yet, i'd say florida would suit you. it's SEC.

I still haven't figured out how anyone can realistically expect to make a living for the next 40-50 years by playing poker. You must be a richer man than I would ever imagine. Given this, I'll say you should move to Southern Brazil. Why? It's cheap, beautiful, and docile (the North is where the problems are). Plus, if you have any money at all, you are treated like a god. My uncle just bought a vacation home in some shit fishing village- Navagantes of something- and could easily afford 3 house staff to stay and take care of it all year, even though he only intends to visit the place at max 2 months of the year. Beyond this, with eyes on the future, Brazil is the South-American economic power (not saying much, I know) at the moment, and with crazy shifts in economic dependencies taking place right now you may end up in one of the major international states. Do it.

Costa Rica sounds like a pretty rad place to go live for a while.
where did i say anything about poker? do i realistically expect to live off solely poker income for the rest of my life? hell no. i'm 23, and it's working for me now. i have tried school, and i can't find anything that interests me enough to want to major in it. i know 3 or 4 people who have recently graduated and are making half of what i am in a shitty job that's completely unrelated to their major. when the time is right, i will go back to school. that's the good thing about it; it's always there.Pochsy wrote:

Since Pokerstars is going to be illegal in the U.S. In a few months Costa Rica would work.
I've been thinking about moving to Colorado lately. I need to get away from the masses. Zombies, etc. Must hunker down and get ready for it...
Sober enough to know what I'm doing, drunk enough to really enjoy doing it

Canada
i should mention that i would never move anywhere that has cold weather
Move to Amsterdan as an au-pair.
Had an uncle and a cousin that lived in Costa Rica for about 8 years. They loved it, both had pretty hot young latinas as girlfriends, but ended up leaving because it's literally the same thing over and over (their words not mine). It got boring for them. Granted that was for 8 years, so maybe if you are looking more short-term it would suit you better.
Florida is great, Miami is amazing from what I've heard. Cali is nice, but like you said it's fairly expensive to live here, depending on where you want to end up.
