Are you sure they are ranked?
Yes this server is ranked. Weird. Well, it's against the RoE isn't it?
You do know unranked can be set up to show your rank, and yes Dr.Battlefield, it dose break the ROE.
They are. It's not allowed but it is a ranked server, but it is. If you look at the first screen shot you can see ranks displayedand its possible on the rank servers. When you join unraked servers, no rank are displayed on player list. Plus it's assking for 7 more players to start round, When last time any of you joind un-ranked, with at least one player and had to wait for more people to join.
"Hostile BF2RS, incoming!"
who cares if its ranked, bocage is awesome

Yeah it looks like a cool map I'm totally down for Ranked mod servers as long as there fair. BF EU is not going to get my 10 dollars so new maps would be nice.
the 1 thing EA lets DICE do is make good maps
i have played on that map a few times
its part of the nations at war mod

I agree with Patton. Who cares. Now I want to join it so I can enjoy something other than the orginal 10 maps we've been playing for almost a year.
EA brings this kind of shit on themselves for not releaseing new maps for the core game. But when people get tired of playing the same old shit over and over and try something different, EA punishes them.
EA can bite my taint.

Wow went to the website alot of the mods they made look cool as hell. Like the suizike(spl) atv they made.
i like bocage my fav map in bf 1942 along with el alamein
OMFG!! thats again ROE!! sound the alarm!!
nations at war mod is pretty cool. only prob is some of teh vehicles being weird n stuff. they edited most of the vehicles. choppers are more manuverable, land vehicles are 2 times as fast, and the Linebacker has a counterpart that fires lazer missiles
thats the NAW mod is it not?
the NAW mod is a sack of cack - overhyped , overdeveloped
Overhyped I can see, but to me, there is no such thing as an overdeveloped video game. They are all underdeveleoped, thats why we need so many damn patches.iamtheoneneo wrote:

It would be TOTALLY awesome if EA remade BF:1942 entirely with BF2 graphics. I miss capture the flag so much... Ahhhh, the good old days of just having fun and not worrying about pointless stats...
I don't understand it when people say this. It's not the game mechanics that make you care about your stats. The only advantage you gain from stats are priority to get commander and unlocks, both which are based on your global score, a stat which you gain through any play style.. It's entirely up to you if you want to care about your stats or not.Mr.Pieeater wrote:

Here is a bit of help to better understand: other players and communities (incl. on forums) tend to judge you on basis of how many medals you have (look, the noob has a purple heart! Oh, the leet boy deserve respect since he got his expert knife badge!) and your rank (which finally give a rough idea on hiow much time you spent in the game, and so how much you are experienced with the game. And experiend often goes along with skill, although not always).
People judge you with what information they have on you, and in video games, they don't know much else about you.
Same in RTS games with ranking system, like in the "Age of Empires" serie and "Age of Mythology".
And it's why people often care about their stats.

looks like a cool map
I hope this is the first sign of DICE giving in to what the community actually wants.
Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.
"There are many servers with custom maps out there, but unranked. If you want to get some score, play a ranked server"
This is what they think. But thats just dumb because some custom maps are really very good and should be implemented in the ranked server map cycles. Also unranked servers might not be real fun, teamkillers, dumbasses, etc.
Somebody should send an email to DICE with some custom maps and many good arguments.
