I want to get a credit card so i can buy a netbook today and best buy wont finance me with there store card

i dont know what apr means, i do understand interest though. so i want something with no interest, since ill be paying it back shortly.

suggestions?
also, can it be done online and used today?

All credit cards charge massive amounts of interest. I think they charge interests per day... So the faster you're in black the less interest you pay.

You won get your card today or this week for that matter, it takes weeks to get one + you have to be self employed, here at least that is a requirement. Bank transfer is the fastest solution for you right now.

well Best buy is doing any purchase over $249 is interest fee for 18 months ... you just need to make minium payments but at the 19th month if the purchase is not paid off you will be hit with 18 months of interest

but since you got denied from them, then it doesn't matter

have you talked with your bank about getting a credit card through them ?

oh and APR is annual percentage rate ....... if you got a kick ass fical scorce then my APR is going to be low ( lower percentage of money that the cc has loaned to me to purchase a item ) ....... if you got a low score then you're going to have a higher APR and pay more on the dollar ( for the amount of time you stay in debt )

store cards are notrious for high APR but they do offer things like 18 months no interest ................... store cards also do very little for your score till you miss one payment and its on your score for 7 years

Not sure anything short of a loan-shark/pawnbroker will get you the money that quickly. Never heard of somebody issuing a credit card on the spot. Finance yes, but not a credit card.

you won't have a phyiscal card in hand for 2-3 weeks but once you're approved ( on the spot ) you can begin purchasing that moment

so i have something to do while i hang at the hospitol with the other fam. they have a wireless network there, and my mom sleeps a lot. theres lots of down time

Fair enough, having recently cancelled my only, and mostly unused, credit card I can't say I'm incredibly experienced in the area. I wasn't even responsible for it. Was connected to my father's business account......

Grabbing a book or two for now is probably your best bet. A book should last long enough to get the money together.

Until you apply for loans, mortgages etc and get crappy APRs because they have no idea how you are with loaned money.

Mitch, do you have a job? Try applying for Discover card, I hear they're easier to get. Either way you gotta make enough money per month for the credit card company to think you're not a huge liability. Since you have no credit score they don't have any history to go off of.
