I whas in sharqi playing as a sniper. Killed alot of guys and defending flags. I saw a teammate of mine climbing up a ladder while he whas being shot at by some guy in a Humvee. I took out the gunner in the humvee and he started a vote against me! I typed : "Why are you voting me off? Cus I killed you?"
Wich he replied : "Yes"

I geuss the majority of the server didnt wanted me out of the server cus the vote didnt work.
After that he started a vote against the guy he whas gunning for *wich I saved*.

The poor fellow got voted off! I REALLY hate these n00bs *now would be a good time to call somebody a noob*.
If you get killed and cant stand it, dont play the goddamn game.

Thank you.

If I can't beat you I'll vote you off.

Kind of like...

If you won't let me win I'll take my ball and go home.

Infants.. that's what they are. Simply children.

lol thats nothing.  I know someone who started a vote kick because another person beat him to the tank on karkand.  He's a bit of an armour whore so he got pissed off when somebody else finally got it after he had used it for almost two rounds.

I rarely take part in the votes... and usually if I do, I vote "no".  Unless I witness firsthand who's being voted off doing something that deserves the vote in the first place.  Or if they are flaming in-game, that deserves a vote in my opinion.  It's a game, who's got time to fight and argue with the in-game messaging?  We are losing this battle, start fighting or I'll find someone who can!!

Peace, out!

I hate voting AND punishing.

Who hasn't accidentally teamkilled someone?

I have had squaddies teamkill me, I don't punish, same thing happens and whack I'm punished.

I wish the bf2s stats kept track of how many times you've punished, or initiated a kick vote. I'm all for voting a crap commander off or someone thats killing for vehicles. But 99% of the time, I'll try to stay out of the voting.

Yeah, it gets pretty ridiculous on some of the servers between stupi kick votes and people trying to mutiny against the commander when your team is actually winning...  Or starting a mutiny 5 seconds into the round...  As far as TK punish I think it should be removed.  I try to play on servers that have it turned off, but can never remember which ones do...

i checked the "Opt Out of Voting" checkbox in the Game Options panel.  i don't need mutiny and kick vote polls distracting me from the job at hand.

There are actually offical servers that turn Punishing off?

Yes, punishing is not required by EA for a Ranked server.  During the limited time I had a server, we had punish turned off.  The problem is most have it on.  A lot of the servers that have it turned off advertise in their messages.
As for opting out, I think some servers (or maybe some questions, I'm not sure) will automatically make you vote yes if you opt out.  I don't want to do that...

well then that's hardly the definition of "opting out" of a vote, isn't it?  i assumed that by opting out that the server subtracted me from the total number of possible votes.

for example, if i'm playing on a full 32 person server and i was the only player who checked "opt out," the voting would only take 31 votes into account.

I don't take part in votes, especially if it's against someone that's just having a good time killin' (legit). I just let the game play itself out.
I was on server today that said 'punishing accidental Tks will reduce the team's overall score'. Now in my opinion, that's a perfect balance.

That's actually true of any server.  If you punish someone for a TK, they lose points, so the total points for the team is lowered.  The server cannot do anything to cause additional losses if someone punishes an accidental TK.

Also, I usually just automatically vote 'No' if I see a kick vote for someone I didn't see do something...

Normally I don´t participate in votes to kick players but yesterday on FuShe Pass some guys started raping the US base. One of them even took the Cobra and placed it on a hill where he could kill everyone who spawned with no chance to even shoot an AT-Rocket close to him. And then he even got a supply drop right next to him.
This kind of unfair behavior is something that in my opinion should result in a kick and so I voted Yes to kick him.

It's a bit off topic but along the lines of flaming and kicking...I was playing as US last nite and this one dude on the Chinese side on Dalian starts talking about how badly they are raping us.  Granted, we were getting beat pretty good, but he's just bein' a tool by rubbing it in as far as I'm concerned.

So me, being the patient guy that I am, tell him to shut up and play.  He goes on to curse me out talkin' about how he f-ed my mom and all that...Well i notice that the server has warned him for cursing and that next time he'll be kicked.  I don't know if he notices so I say, "What was that? I didn't hear you."

So he goes through the exchange again then gives me the I'll-f-your-mom line again, and then the server kicks him, about 3 seconds before the round ends and his side wins.  No points, no victory.  Justice.  I'm still smiling about that one

Actually, I would think that he would still get his points and the victory.  You don't have to be on a server for the entire round to get your points or credit for the victory (or loss).  Does anybody know if you lose your points if your kicked?

I would call that a victory and justice to you ... One of the funniest ways of getting justice I've read.

Whoa... I´ve been playing commander some rounds on a server. During each round someone was trying to vote against me. Then I left the space blank so he could try it but after 10 minutes there still was no commander in sight so I applied for the post again and about 10 seconds lafter there he was again trying to vote against me...

I mean if he really wanted the commander post I would´ve understood but that was just hilarious.

Btw. If someone manages to revolt at the end of a round does he get the com points or the guy who did the job till that point?

You only get the points for "your" time in the commander seat.

WHat pisses me off the most is when everyone is of a lower rank than I (or everyone else doesn't seem to care), and for ten minutes my team has no commander.  SO I decide to take up the job, and about 1.28 seconds after I hit PGUP, a mutiny vote starts against me. Wtf.

Let's see...where's that little blue dot...oh there he is....Hey buddy, wanna play catch?  I just got this nice new artillery shell, just for you! Traiterous prick.

ViperGTS you aint the only person with such issues , lol , i play on New Zealand servers since i liv here and everytime i become a commader get a frekin vote started agaisnt me by some random noob who apperently wanted 2 be a commander but dint succed cuz i was at a higher rank etc.. , so the same story happens 2 me everytime i become a commander and the voting never realli works out

Statistics for bf2 online multiplay voting state: The esstimated percentage for The Voting Off System for Battlefield 2 Global online gameplay is less then 0.3 percent

I have this happen pretty often.  They initiate a vote against the commander, the commadner leaves on his own terms.  Then I wait and wait for the person who started the vote to step up and fill in.   They usually dont fill in, so I take the spot.  Then, you never would of guessed it , here comes the mutiny vote again.

I usually ignore any mutiny vote agasint me, the most "yes" I have seen is about four.

Has anyone else noticed, that some of the people that initiate Mutniy's are not even in a squad?????

I think we all get the stupid person try and vote us off as commander whether we are doing a good job, or they didn't take up the position or something.  I think that part of the game just allows immatute people to think they are someone special..
THA
im a fucking .....well not now

and the guys that usualy initiate a mutiny have very small scoore and alot of deaths, basicaly they suck at general game play and commander gives them a way to get points.......
