Sager. Best quality/price ratio imo, and they look pretty decent.
edit: Why the hell did it autocorrect from ratio to ration?

Looking at your UK rock site.
The Extreme X790-I7-920 will give you the same performance as your desktop.
Looked Alienware UK and their prices are higher for the same thing

I would've gotten one but my parents spent $1500 on a dell latitude e6400..... It can barely run Battlefield 2. 2142 was choppy as crap too...
but yea
I heard Alienwares had problems with dead pixels, but idk if that changed.TSI wrote:

Kinda off out of the box...
Could you build a compact & portable desktop that could be brought over to your bed, then use a wireless mouse & keyboard?
May let you avoid the problems associated with laptops, while still being portable enough to not be a hassle to move every couple of days.
SOMEONE has to make some sort of portable screen? Maybe?

You could mod a 18-20 inch screen onto a lan box, but it would be hard and still large compared to a laptop.

remember that the GTX280M is just the mobile version of the 8800GT. If you want GPU muscle, I suggest going SLI

Sager is sounding better all the time, only downside is if it all goes tits up I've got to send it to America to get fixed, does the warranty even cover Europe?

If they ship internationally they have to give out international warranty. That's how it works.jay_courage wrote:

A fast (~3GHz) dual core will probably give you better performance in games than the mobile quad cores. They are so awfully slow
