I bought a Ghost case (Clear Acrylic). I bought some LED's and a talismoon whisper max fan and installed it all today. I like it. But its fucking blinding lol...

It's SO BRIGHT!

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. I used a camera phone. So of course it's not that bright. I've had my xbox for about 4 years now. Hasnt failed me yet.

As far as I can tell its some heat damage but I havent got a T8 driver to get the heatsink off. Anyone know any good way to fix this, if so i'll go buy a t8 driver, seems pointless if its fucked though.
The towel thing seems fucking stupid though.

I'd type my pc specs out all fancy again but teh mods would remove it. Again.

the only "real" fix is replacing the x-clamp behind the mobo (opposite side of the heatsink) with proper nuts and bolts, and replacing the nasty thick shit they call thermal paste with truly thermally conductive stuff (such as AS5).

edit: oh then after you do that, you don't screw in the bolts all the way. turn the xbox on til 2 lights light up (that's the overheat message) and let it run for 2 minutes exactly. this is to resolder the shit that got broken the first time. then turn off the xbox and while the CPU and GPU are cooling, screw in the bolts nice and tight. and you're done. working xbox.
