My pos Actiontec has all but died.  The wireless doesn't work anymore, and i lose my internet connection from time to time.  Does anyone have any dsl modems they would recommend?  Built-in wireless would be great too so i don't have to buy anything separate.  halp!

i <3 my dsl.  i honestly have never had a problem with my service, and i get a solid 6 Mb/s.  i like not having to share bandwidth also... 

if i could upgrade to fiber, i would, but it's not available in my area yet.

cable modem here. for what it's worth, it's a motorola surfboard (yeah, that the name they actually put on it) and it's been reliable.

wish i could say the same about my isp . . .

ADSL2 though - it could be worse. I had some interesting cheap ones I was playing with a while back - but am struggling to remember the name of. They were feature packed. You could even setup VPN on them and stuff.

I use DSL.  Keep the modem and the wireless separate.  As for a recommended modem, can't say, as my Verizon supplied one has yet to fail through all these years running almost 24/7.
