Okay, so, I just ordered something on the internet for $180 and I don't have that much money in my bank account YET. How do I find out when this money will be considered debt? When will they tack on fees?

I've been really good about paying my bills and I don't spend what I don't have but I don't have a license right now and that makes it difficult to get to the bank.

Are these usually quarterly, or monthly, or what?

If it helps my credit limit is $700

I have access to my online Wells Fargo account, yet I don't know what the term for deadline to pay off your credit card is called or where to find it.

I got my credit card through my Wells Fargo bank account.

Fairly sure it's the 28th of each month.

Most things bank related occur monthly.

I get my Visa and Mastercard bills by mail with a due date and payment %.

I'd believe you'll get one too, OR, if you have an internet banking possibility at home, you should be able to check your credit and due dates.
I need around tree fiddy.

I recently moved and just got my address changed at the bank so I'm not sure I got everything.

credit cards are monthly, any balance remaining at the end of the billing period will have interest added.

If you're using a sponsored bank credit card and not a debit bank credit card

but it takes your next bank cycle to tack on debt

Monthly.  When setting up the account you can usually set the billing cycle date & pay online using your debit card/ bank info.  Find one with NO ANNUAL FEE and a low APR (5-7%).  You don't want one like a discover card that compounds the interest daily.  Also read the fine print.  Be wary of a card that offers a low APR until you miss/late payment and then the APR gets jacked up to %21.  However, if you pay the card off at the end of the month -you won't have to worry about it.

If I were you, I'd just save up the money and buy said item.

Its a student account so I don't pay any fees

I spoke to the guy at the bank and he said something along the lines of pay whenever I can?? That can't be right, oh well.

I get the money in the bank pretty quick, so no worries I was just curious

Divide your APR by 12 and it will tell you how much interest is tacked onto any balance that rolls over past the end of the month. If you pay it all off before your next statement is issued you don't pay any interest.

It was debt as soon as you charged it to your credit card. You won't get hit with 'fees' but you will get charged interest if it rolls over, as I said.

You can pay it off by making the minimum payment (probably $20) every month until it is paid off. There's no 'deadline' just don't miss a payment.

No problemo.  It isn't a bad thing to have a few cards.  For example, all my internet purchases and most bills are paid using credit credit cards.  Why?  It isn't my money.  Granted I pay the cards off every billing cycle.  However if there is a dispute or identity issue (double billing/overcharge)  I just call the card people up tell them what's going on and let them handle it.  Meanwhile my money is sitting in a savings account unscathed collection interest.

Just make sure that you exercize restraint.  You can begin to build a positive credit score and be on your way to excellet credit if you use it right.  Nowadays, good credit is very important.

Yeah I feel you on the good credit, I exercise self discipline, I don't spend it unless I KNOW I have it.

Plus, the cash back stuff is nice too, I got like $15 so far or something

Just easy to have the security of a credit card, like you said, you can dispute the charges on a credit card... You cant do that on a debit
