Tiberian Dawn, Red Alert, and Tiberian Sun should all be included on this list.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
It's simply the best game to come out in those two millenniums, It was such a masterpiece that it effectively had risen all my standards for video games. I simply cannot playing else other than modern warfare two because they just don't live up to its great standards. The storyline is an impressive masterpiece, it's almost as awesome as 2001: A space odyssey. It makes so much sense and it's so logical. Also the weapons handle so realistically unlike in those shitty games where the bullets hit 260 km off of your cross hairs. The multi-player is just awesome, it exceeds battlefield 2's and is so simple to use. Nobody ever cheats or swears and the game-play is always latency-free.
I honestly recommend it to anyone, I would of payed more than 60 pounds for this, but the shop didn't want my money.

More liek, trolling is a fart. amirite?
Also, sorry Eagle, didn't mean to sound too angry in my earlier post
I would also like to add Metal Gear Solid to the list. Really focused on the narrative (as well as some great stealth gameplay where, for once, the objective was NOT to kill everyone and go gung-ho) and had some great acting. And unlike a lot of other games at the time (looking at you Final Fantasy), the cutscenes weren't super extravagant while the gameplay parts looked shitty. Instead it was all kind of balanced and blended together. (Graphics-wise, I'm talking)

There are so many more but the names escape me. Damn, this thread brought back so many memories. I want my Atari back!
