I would love to see the MP7 get another extra magazine. With only 2 extras, I find myself be more conservative than I'd like to be in firefights. If you think about it, you get half as many mags as the MP5, yet you have only 10 more rounds per mag. If you do the math, 40rds x 3 mags = 120 rds while the MP5 has 30rds x 6 mags = 180rds. An extra mag for the MP7 would bring the count to 160rds, which I don't think is unreasonable. Why should the MP5 have a 60 bullet advantage?

Why not give the P90 an extra magazine too? Find it running out an awful lot with the new (and at least it makes it a good weapon - no complaints apart from this) and improved 900RPM fire rate. Come on! Supports can be hard to find!
LOL, that is true, but they have to get 40 kills like most of the other classes for Expert. I hate playing as engy because their guns are so useless. I do not have the H&K MP-7 PDW yet.Aphex_D wrote:

Well the P90 has 50 rounds instead of 40, so that makes it a little different because 4 mags would give you 200 rounds, more than the MP5 with no downside to it. The MP-7 has a 60 round deficit now which I feel is a bit too much.TheDarkRaven wrote:

i know...lets have just one weapon for everyone/every class...
-same accuracy
-same rate of fire
-same magazine capacity
-same recoil
-same reload time
Shit you can have different models/skins for it, just to make you feel special!
RESULT = no more whining.
why not go further?:
-same vehicles
-same aircraft
EVEN further:
-one map
-one class
AND EVEN MORE extreme:
-one side
RESULT = no more whining.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I quite agree with you - I noticed this fact as I was writing this. However, the MP7 does have a far greater accuracy than the P90 (in my Special Forces experience ((I have not unlocked any of the engineer weapons yet - the standard ones are good enough for me))). This is the one thing that swayed me to keep behind my push for the P90 to have 200 bullets! And I fully support the engineer having 160 bullets! However, for my reasoning with the P90 having 200 bullets, I cannot support the engineer having 200 bullets also.deject wrote:

I'D ALSO LIKE TO ATTACH THIS!
I am sorry this is so long, but I hope it will be worth your while. Thank you in advance for your paitence in reading the following post.
Wellide, wellide, wellide (imitating Homer Simpson). Haven't we a sweet problem here?
Now the way I see it is this. Some of you may not like hearing it from me beacuse I am a lowly First Sergeant, but here goes. A lot of people (and I know a few - so you can't say I lie!) use tanks to get the really hard badges (experts), say Expert Sniper etc. Although I don't condone this kind of behavior, I suppose it is a loophole in the games use, such as with the Command Exploit. Although I'd like to see the badges changed to only weapons from your kit, or weapons causing actions such as claymores blowing up cars, there are times when vehicles are useful to your team (SO THEY AREN'T SITTING AROUND!). If you spawned as Sniper, especially on maps like Daqing Oilfields, it is a fast-paced game, so you HAVE to take that armor, or the enemy will get it and, quite frankly, you are screwed! However, taking vehicles as a non-Engineer in maps such as Strike at Karkand can be EXTREMELY ANNOYING! It is always good for your team if you have two armor (or three) rolling up the street together, as it is nearly unbeatable.
However, I have a solution to this problem that we all face, and all of you will have to put more effort in the game to work. You will have to play the game as EA said it was 'meant to be played' (although they do disencourage it with the rank system...) and you will have to work as a TEAM! Yes! A fool bloodied COMMUNIST-LIKE TEAM! No one player can do it alone! It is all very well and good that you get 100 points etc., but this does not help the common cause - your TEAM winning!
So, the solution. As I said, this is going to be a pretty big pill to swallow. First of all, engineers should not be able to sit in a Tank, APC etc., and repair the vehicle next to them. Have you ever seen anyone driving a tank, shooting the chain-gun, main-gun AND repairing a neighbouring vehicle at THE SAME TIME (the realists will love this, but seriously people, I know the game can't be exact, but this is TOO MUCH for ONE GUY!). Therefore, anyone will be able to drive armor acceptably to all. I will come to suggestions later for kits to play in the armor later.************** Second, the engineers have a very skilled job (you gotta love what that wrench can fix though...) and it takes an age for them to repair something, and an even LONGER time to get a repair point! Now, some people will say that whenever a engineer repairs a vehicle back to full armor ('health') then they should get a repair point. This would cause serious points spamming, with people chucking grenades at armor, then the engineers getting a repair point for doing next to nothing! 'The new way to stat-pad' people would say, and I don't want that to happen. Therefore, I propose a compromise. Every HALF-BAR worth of a tank's armor an engineer repairs (I'm not sure how mant hit points a tank has - information would be useful for recalculation of these stats), say, they would get a repair point. Also, since repairing is a tiring job, the wrench will no longer need to be 'recharged'. Instead, I propose that the repair work will slowly (slowly mind you) drain the engineer's stamina (the bit that you use up when sprinting), as this is what you would use up working so hard. Another solution could be a wrench 'wears-away' and supply boxes or support will have to give the engineers 'ammo' which gives them more wrenches to use (ha, disposable wrenches - fully degradable for a happy tomorrow!). Of course, the engineers are going to be in a pretty mess hiding behind the armor at, say, the Hotel flag at Strike at Karkand (SaK). They have the shotguns (no use for long range attacks which they will be most prone to in this situation, I believe) or the MP7 (pretty weak and loses accuracy - not a sterling helper). So then, whiel the armor is sitting there getting repaired, it's always good to attack (down the flanks at SaK), but some guys inevitably go down the centre. Of course, in the latter situation support should give the engineer a plentiful supply of wrenches for use. Also, a medic or two may want to hang around the area (they can still medium range sniper with their frankly great weapons, and revive each other if one was to die) so that the engineer can always be there to help out the armor. I would always recommend a couple (or even three engineers) around the back of the armor, working in a rotation system (VoIP communication in a squad required) to repair and then get back the stamina (THIS IS ALL ABOUT THE FORMER SYSTEM!), or (my preference) they could all work together to get the armor repaired quicker. Also, a engineer in armor would of course be useless and a scourge of many war-hardened veterans (except in situations like the Daqing Oilfields mentioned earlier...). Instead I propose that medics would be a good choice for keeping the engineers alive at SaK, although they could be sorely missed on the battlefield. Likewise, support would be good (for the latter disposable wrenches idea) as they could give the engineers more wrenches. Of course, some of you may take offence, saying that I am a hippocrit and that this is just like what the engineers could do before my idea. The medic one is the least credible, but a support could 'chuck' a wrench back now and then, so I would prefer that idea. Of course, when getting in armor, you have to think (where might I be sorely needed with my type of kit, and should I be there instead of in this armor?).
Please, all take in my suggestions, comment with free will. This past half-hour of writing be be totally in vain and useless, but I believe I spoke my mind, and I hope some of these suggestions may make you think, and I'd be happy with that. Action would just be a bonus.
Thank you for your time,
Andy

Right on! They had to make choices when they made the game. We are just suggesting something. If it's something like a car being innefficient, people comment on it, and the car designers improve it (helping the environment, AND making their car more desireable). If we take your (ilyandor) thinking, then we shouldn't tell them the car is innefficient, and we would never improve it. I believe this is the kind of 'ignorance' that is holding humanity back. To be human is to strive to better yourself, humanity is always trying to progress. As I see it you are not trying to progress in any way. That is only my view.[DEI]Bart wrote:

Well, if you believe the wiki (which I will assume is accurate) then the MP7 and P90 have the exact same accuracy. I haven't used the P90 that much, so I can't say first hand, but I'm fairly confident in the wiki.TheDarkRaven wrote:

oh and ilyandor, I'm not fucking whining, I'm just making a suggestion. Why don't you suck on your mom's tits instead of trolling forums? I'm sure that is a better use of your time.
Now, now! Reasoning is the way to go! Violence and name-calling will get us nowhere!deject wrote:

He didn't add anything to the thread, he just mocked my suggestion and me. I'm pretty sure that is trolling in my opinion. If he'd at least just said "that's a dumb idea, the guns are fine" I wouldn't have made that post. THere's no need to be a dick, just say it's a dumb idea. I can handle that (well, I can handle a troll too, but I'd rather not have to), and it's more constructive.TheDarkRaven wrote:

The eng is carrying around a wrench, a bunch of mines and some grenades. However, the support guy carries unlimited ammo bags. This shouldn't be an issue. Give the engineer an extra clip or two. The MP7 runs out of bullets way too fast, unless you use it on semi-auto...and then you might as well be using a pistol.
