I pick the first that pops up.	0%	0% - 0
I pick what everyone else keeps killing me with.	12%	12% - 6
I pick what everyone on BF2S tells me to get.	2%	2% - 1
I pick based on what kit I play the most.	36%	36% - 17
I pick an unlock for a kit I want to improve on.	21%	21% - 10

I just got to wondering, how does everyone choose their unlocks? I personally go for a kit I'm going to start playing more often.

NOTE please don't turn this into a "what unlock should I pick next?" thread, I just want to hear HOW people choose

I pick the ones that everyone kills me w/ or the ones that i wanted to improve on. My first unlcok was the PKM cause everyone was doing it and i wanted a shinny badge...it makes me feel special when I get a drumroll.

Agreed. That drumroll just makes my day whenever I hear it. My first unlock was the PKM because I love them machine guns

On topic, I used to pick on two things which generally conincide... The kit I want to improve with and the kit I'm playing with... Which are generally the same kit.

Only have two guns left unlocked... Doesn't leave much choice now does it?

I pick the kit that's different from the standard kit in a way I can use and want in certain situations. Eg G3 provides hand grenades, DAO is better in close combat.

The option that's lacking as far as I'm concerned is "I read up the BF2S Wiki and see what might be useful". Very handy resource, that.

I pick my unlocks (at least my more recent ones) based on the kit I want to build time on, which means leads to that being the kit I use.

For example, I found the basic weapons for the Support and Engineer kits dreadful. Particularly with the Engineer's pump-action shotguns, I just couldn't win a shoot-out. So, having worked up the ranks with classes like Medic and Spec-Ops, I unlocked the Jackhammer and since then I've had great fun playing as Engineer, to the point where now it's Medic that's lagging behind and needs some time invested in it. (Along with Assault, maybe it's time to add the F2000 to my shopping list...)
