Ill be brief :  (sry for weak english)

-disable or total reduce artillery reload   OR  make mobile man powered (not automated) artillery mybe even trucks to move them ( the artilery MARK can be used by commander OR squad leaders should have laser paint device to pinpoint positions and Artilery guys could shoot at their targets)  AND if u would add SHIPS on water maps...artilery can be replaced with moving battleships)

-make aircraft land to reload BOMBS!! (totally unfair flying around and reloading 6 bombs in mid air in 1s  )

-disable jump feature... or mybe 1 jump in 1 min (did u ever see any soldiers jump?? with M60 or even in full gear??

- and they repaired jump shoot.... NOT... u still can shoot when u go down from jump....

- Ground AA should have their own extra RADAR....

- SF maps in normal BF2  (or even BF1942 ranked maps)

- PKM is overpowered!

- smoke should be applied for longer than 3s :\ like at least 10s so the squad can actually retreat.... and smoke granades would actually be used :\  (well hope the smoke is visible on all the computers son there is no cheating ??? cant confirm that )

- Euro Force should be FREE addon.... my squad will definately NOT buy this...

- Add some SHIPS.... destroyers, hower boats, battleships--- mybe few maps only for naval battle and few smaller islands

- Commanders should command not sit in helicopter or even using a tank... so commanders shouldnt be able to drive or pilot any vehicles (mybe only passengers)

- Squad leaders should have more options like: commendating the soldiers, draw some attack plans on map, form Platoons with other SL (attack plans should be visible by all squad leaders and accepting or refuze order)
--there should also be ALFA LEAD SQUAD wich in this case Squad leader will be platoon leader (offcoure only platoon CHAT is a must)
--commander will also have more work to do wich is a +

-i think i ppl should choose for witch army he wants to fight... i mean there should be on same maps different armies randomly choosen by server or enable vote to choose witch two armies should fight (US,mec,china,russia....)

I'll add my own. They may or may not necessarily agree. I'll try to stick within the topics set by the OP.

Bugs:

1. Kill the damned red name bug. I haven't experienced it before 1.2 came out.
2. Kill the bug involving TV/laser-guided missiles not working at times.

Commander:

1. Airstrike beacon to act like artillery beacon, but to alert friendly aircraft of the need to pummel a designated target. Kills by aircraft made within this zone count as team points to pilots and gunners, increasing their score and, subsequently, the commander's.
2. Commanders should be able to select a squad and draw on the map for the squad leader, rather than just giving them a straight line. Up to the squad mates to trust that the SL knows what he's doing.
3. Commanders are allowed all vehicle slots by default. This shouldn't change. It should be up to mutinies and server rules to enforce when a commander isn't supposed to be flying or driving around.
4. I'd love for the commander to be able to direct an active UAV to a new location, while it's in flight.

Infantry:

1. Retain jump as-is. It's perfect.
2. Allow infantry to climb over low walls or grasp ledges (to climb up, or to drop from more safely).
3. Squad leaders should be able to hook up on VOIP with ONE other squad, for twin-fireteam effect.
4. Yes, smoke doesn't last nearly as long as it should. It should also move around just a bit, with the (simulated) wind.
5. Scout class. Long-term spotting, and a iron-sights M1A (or equivilant, for non-US armies) rifle. I want a nice, accurate rifle that doesn't depend on the scope, and isn't as cheesy as PKM-sniping.

Land Vehicles:

1. Allow at least one extra infantryman to sit on top of tanks. I know that there's APC's, but this would be fun. To prevent squatting wrenching, automatically pop the rider off the back of the tank if it gets hit.
2. Reduce the damage water does to vehicles. I know my truck will stop if it gets stuck in a river, but I doubt it'd catch on fire and spontaneously explode.

Aircraft:

1. Require jets to reduce throttle slightly to reload.
2. Extend the burn-time on helicopters, add loss of control when severely damaged, and allow the pilots the opportunity to make a "safe" crash-landing and jump out before the damn thing explodes (in case the chopper is veering too wildly to leap out safely.
3. Helicopter rotors should be damaging.
4. Double the allowed ceiling height for fighters. Nothing more irritating than stalling out at 2000, and spinning off the map where the boundary kills you before you can regain control.

Navy:

1. The Essex is without escort on many of the current maps, but as they are I suppose it's balanced enough (though I would like to see some PT boats ). A few new maps should be released with aspects of modern Naval warfare.

Maps:

1. PLA vs MEC would be fun, unless there's some sort of oddball reasoning against this from EA.
2. SF maps in BF2 would make no sense.
3. Some uncaps (ones in maps well away from any main flags), should have a bit more of a hearty defense than IGLA's. SAM sites would be nice.

Booster Packs:

1. Please, I would love to see a halt to these puny offerings being released with a $10 pricetag. The official WW2 mod was released for BF Vietnam for free, and was immensely enjoyable. Save charging for the full-blown expansion packs, not glorified patches.

Battlefield 2142:

1. Change to 2042, please. I'd much rather use a bunch of weapons that are now in development rather than play yet another Mechwarrior clone. Then again, I'd rather they built a new engine, or just have Valve do it for them.

i agree planes are far too hard to kill. i dont think the makers realise how they spoil most maps. ive always thought they were too fast for the size of the maps.

id like to see a search function that only finds servers that have a believable kill ratio, like say 5 kills against 3 deaths or something and not 150 kills and 0 deaths so i dont have to keep skipping past servers where people are padding/whoring etc and have huge kills and points. people should observe this before they join a server so they dont have to keep moaning about it here. it will only save me 5 minutes but it would be nice. besides its one over the ego trippers.

Infantry only. I can only agree. This isn't going to harm any existing map, because they will be new maps. I would love to see a map only consisting of ground defense, infantry, and the occasional transport vehicle. And no, AT guys aren't rendered useless. Never underestimate the power of the DAO, or the aiming effectiveness of a rocket over a TOW.

No, this is NOT Counterstrike. To be CS, EA would have to implement a last-man-standing mode.

a while ago someone had the idea that the commander should have to be sitting IN the UAV trailor for any of his command tools (arty, scan, UAV, supply drop) to work.

at the time i thought it was dumb (because i was getting my ground defense time up), but in retrospect i really like that idea.  it makes your commander an easier target for enemy spec ops, but you'd also be protected from artillery and whatnot.  it would stop commanders from getting in tanks and dropping supplies for themselves only...or getting into attack helos...
