Before I left this morning I shut down my computer to let it do automatic updates. I get back, and when I turn it on it goes to a "Applying Updates operation #### of 13029 (\Registry\...), at which time it stops at a random number well before 13029. I restart, it goes to an automatic startup repair that says it fails, restart again, go back to the "Applying Updates Operation" thing and freezes.

Any ideas as to how to either fix it or surpass it?

My friend got some boot issues too couple days ago. Needed 5 restarts to get into 7.
