Well I think that's another fallacy where there are 'steps' in evolution, where things get better and better which isn't the case. Intelligence didn't evolve out of necessity it randomly evolved and fortunately it was brilliant for the particular environment we're in right now. It doesn't have the goal to survive as a species.Kmarion wrote:
Life has the goal to survive, as a species. Humans gained their intelligence out of necessity. We certainly aren't the biggest, baddest predators on the planet. Eventually the mind will triumph over muscle and claws. It seems like a natural evolutionary step to me.Dauntless wrote:
Yeah but again, I don't think evolution always means it's bound to produce intelligent beings. Evolution doesn't have a goal, it just happens.Kmarion wrote:
Or that it has evolved already.

Also I've never been drunk before but I've had a few sips of a Bud Light and it tasted horrible.
Yes the stronger, smarter, survive. Mutations happen for a reason though (imo). Naturally this would apply to life across the broad spectrum of the universe.Dauntless wrote:

I dunno I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on that, I don't see evolution as having reason, process, thought or goal, I just see it as random mutations with the best surviving.Kmarion wrote:

There are plenty of flavorful beer/ales over here. But they aren't as popular, so you just have to know where to look.
