I made this thread more for the topic of sheep than the actual tech.

Why do so many people love Apple and act like everything they make is gold. Yes the products are good, but since the Zune HD came out the only Apple product I could see myself ever buying is a MacBook.
And ever since the attack ads on MS, well I just plain don't like Apple anymore.

Meh that was nothing, you should see the supermarket adverts. I'd give it 6 weeks before tesco just has a 20 second advert of "fuck you morrisons, fuck you" Sung over and over again by various celebrities.

As for the 'Cult' thing, every company has its share of fanboys

I think the Apple cult has gotten quite extreme - it's like being back in the car scene all over again with the muscle and import wankers always arguing... Apple does do quite a few innovative things in production and whatnot, but their products (imo) aren't the be-all end-all of the computer world, same with anything running Linux or Windows. Every product does certain things better than others.
