I need new ram. I currently have OCZ Gold and it blows. I'm still gonna make good on its warranty but it has such a high failure rate I don't expect much from it. If they do ship me a good batch I intend to sell them to a friend. Either way, I need new ram.

It must be DDR3 and triple channel. No less than 6GB total. Preferably less than $170.

This is currently what I'm looking at. Is it good or should I aim for something else?

Why not corsair dominator? Who cares about performance, the things look fucking awesome and for an extra bit you can get a pretty fan to go on top!
But yeah, they're good.
I'd type my pc specs out all fancy again but teh mods would remove it. Again.

Honestly, no room. My Scythe Mugen heatsink extends over the first ram slot so nothing with a big fancy heat spreader or fan will fit

Ive got the same problem, the things huge XD they only just fit under it.

I got 6GB with my rig and I can't imagine myself needing more in few years.

When I do need more its already time to upgrade whole PC.

Or I need to go water cooling... no room for 6 sticks otherwise.
